In addition, the government has advised all schools that no requests for leave of absence during term time should be authorised, other than in exceptional circumstances, when a request should be made in writing to the Head prior to making any arrangements.
The Trinity Governing Body have authorised the use of Penalty Notices from the 1st of September, 2013, for unauthorised absence and unauthorised leave of absence. This includes students arriving after the close of registers at 9am who will be marked with an unauthorised absence mark.
Penalty Notices issued for unauthorised absences on or after the 1st September, 2013, incur a fine of £120 to be paid within 28 days, which is reduced to £60 if paid within 21 days of the notice being served. Failure to pay a Penalty Notice may result in prosecution.
