Art & Design

What is Art & Design?

Are you interested in studying an exciting art and design course that is totally flexible and allows you to work in a multitude of creative areas? On this course you do not have to limit yourself to one subject area of Art & Design but instead you can decide which of these areas you would like to work in once you are on the course. You will work on common themes combining a variety of mediums e.g. mixing Ceramics and Photography and Textiles in one project.

Why Study Art & Design?

Last year the government announced that the UK’s creative Industries are now worth £71.4 billion per year to the UK economy – generating just over a staggering £8 million pounds an hour, outperforming all other sectors of UK industry, and employing 1.7 million people.

What Do I Need to Study Art & Design?

Students must have gained at least a grade 'B' in GCSE Art and enjoy working independently on their own ideas.
