Big Fat Quiz

Trinity's Big Fat Quiz

Students took part in the 2017 editions of Trinity's Big Fat Quiz, organised by the Heads of House. Nearly 130 students from Years 7-12 took part in the event over the two days and answered questions on a range of topics including Science, Music and Perception. The KS3 event was won by a team from Springbok, whilst Wallaby contestants were triumphant in the KS4/5 quiz. The events attracted our highest ever turn out and a good time was had by all. Well done to all participants!

Harvest Collection

The Harvest Appeal

The annual Trinity Harvest Appeal (the first charitable giving activity in the House calendar) was a great success once again this year, with over three thousand items donated by the Trinity community. Each year, students are asked to donate food items to our harvest collection which are then gifted to The Cornerstone Centre - a Hulme based day centre providing food, assistance and other necessary services for homeless and at risk people in the local community. This year we had a particular focus on collecting tinned soup and dried lentils as part of our appeal and students really did themselves proud in ensuring that we gave the most useful gift we could. We are always amazed and delighted by the generosity of Trinity students in ensuring that we make a difference in the lives of struggling members of our near community and the House leaders want to thank all members of the Trinity family for their kindness.

Christmas Gift Appeal

The Christmas Gift Appeal

This year, students were asked to donate items to go in gift boxes to be distributed to patients at local hospitals. Form tutors helped students to wrap and fill boxes with the items they had brought in. These were delivered on Wednesday to the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital in the case of Year 7-11 donations, whilst gift boxes from our Sixth Form students targeted older patients in the dementia unit at the Manchester Royal Infirmary. House Leaders were delighted by the generosity of the whole Trinity community, and we were able to donate 128 gift boxes for patients staying in hospital over the festive period. Many thanks and a huge well done to all involved!
