Our Reclaim girls had a meeting with Richard Leese on Wednesday.
Alieh, Jaimeel, Jahlica and Latoya all attended and all spoke very confidently and articulately in the meeting.
They had a long discussion beforehand about the issues they felt were important and they wanted to raise, and they successfully put these points across in the meeting.
Richard Leese committed to feeding back to the group any progress made on the points they had raised, and also said that he and Councillor Sue Murphy, who is the Executive Member for Employment and Skills will aim to visit the girls when the project is in action.
Well done to the girls for representing the project and Trinity so well.
Congratulations to the following students, who all received 5 or more excellent comments in their mid term checks:
This is an outstanding achievement and highlights what a positive start to their GCSE programme they have made!
Following on from the girls success at the BAPA awards early this year they have been asked to perform again at a gala ball on the 30th of November.
Jahlica Dixon, Jamieel Fenton, Alieh Amuntung and Hollynn Barnett will be treated as VIP guests at the ball to be held at the Palace Hotel, Manchester.
We are extremely proud at the girls!
The school is given a limited number of opportunities and these are available to via a link on our website or from the following url:

Choosing a placement via this website is second best to finding their own placement as the range of vacancies is limited.
Work placements can be withdrawn at any time by an employer and unfortunately we have no mechanism to change their decision.
