School’s out

As the academic year concludes, I would like to thank the members of staff who are departing this year for pastures new. Mx De Putter leaves to teach Mathematics at a sixth form in Wigan, Ms Firth becomes SEND Manager at Ashton on Mersey School in Sale, Ms Noxon leaves her administrative role in the Sixth Form to train as a science teacher, and Mr Cotterell is embarking on a career in accounts and finance.

One teacher who has enjoyed seven successful years at Trinity is Kyle Cater. Kyle has been an important part of our dynamic Music Department, showing great skill in developing the Music Technology course, leading our wonderful Band Skills groups and playing a full role in the wider life of the department. He has also been a brilliant form tutor and House Leader.

I have particularly fond memories of Kyle accompanying the school ski trip, where he spent every moment supporting our students — leading the way on the slopes, just as he has in the music hall! Kyle leaves to become the Head of Music at Byrchall High School. We wish Kyle and all our departing colleagues every success in their new places of work.

Finally, we wish all our students, parents and families a happy and restful summer break. We look forward to welcoming Years 7–12 back to school on Thursday 3rd September at 8.30am, with Year 13 returning on Monday 7th September 2026.
