789 Medics Programme
From Teacher of Science, Dr Lace:
“Before the half term break, as part of our 789 Medics Programme, Year 10 students took on the role of a GP assessing a breathless patient. The students worked together to delve deeper into the patient’s symptoms and successfully came to the correct diagnosis! It was great to see them consider social and psychological factors, seeing the patient as whole rather than only hunting for the diagnosis. All of this was in their own time after a hard day’s Remote Learning! Later this half term, our 789 Medics are attending a virtual session with ‘Medical Mavericks’ to get insight into some interesting and unusual medical careers.”
