A Tickertape Ending

The final day of last term was marked by our first ‘house carnival’ where students were invited to build the atmosphere ahead of the announcement of the House Championship Winners. All students and staff enjoyed the jubilant atmosphere as Year 7 dancers, steel pan players and DJ Denzil Dennis created a vibrant celebration in advance of the announcement of the winning House. Students gathered around the amphitheatre eagerly awaiting the opening of four boxes containing helium balloons each in the colour of their respective house. As the anticipation grew, the boxes were opened and each balloon rose to the excitement of the students. The winning house – the one that rose highest (it was actually on the longest piece of string), was TIGER – a fantastic achievement! And so the competition starts again for this academic year with lots of events throughout the year for students to take part all in the aim of being named Champion House 2018/19.
