Additional Day’s Holiday – June 2022

From 1 June 2021 a government amendment to the school day regulations reducing the number of sessions which schools must meet for in 2021-22 academic came into effect. Schools are usually required to meet for 380 sessions (two per day equalling 190 days) per year which has been reduced to 378 (or 189 days) to allow for the additional bank holiday on 3 June 2022. As the additional bank holiday falls within the summer half-term break, the school calendar has been adjusted to allow for a further day’s closure on Monday, 6th June, 2022. Please note, that this is subject to confirmation of the GCSE and A-Level exam timetable in 2022. The calendar has been updated on our website to reflect this additional holiday.
