Apps for Good – Global Health Service
One of our Year 10 students, Tayshan, tells us about a project he has been working on with 3 other students during the lockdown period and how you can vote for them in the ‘Apps for Good People’s Choice Award’:
“In February, we visited the Bank of New York Mellon in Manchester to take part in an app challenge. During the lockdown period, Ernest, Winston, Abdul and I have continued to work on the app and have been selected as finalists in the ‘Apps for Good People’s Choice Award’ and in the ’Future Technologist’ category. Our app is called ‘Global Health Service’ (GHS). The concept of it is that it would be used across the world to allow people to book both online and in-person appointments with their doctors and keep track of their health. Its functions include a booking system, a step and sleep monitor, a search system for forums, help and advice and finally a function for patients to share information with their doctor through NFC.”
Well done to Tayshan, Ernest, Winston and Abdul for their work on this fantastic initiative and best of luck with the competition. You can vote for their Global Health Service app in the People’s Choice Award by using the following link:
