Band on the Wall gigs!

Ms Madden writes – “Trinity Stage Band were invited to perform as part of the Manchester Schools Network Big Band Celebration on Tuesday 11th July at the iconic Manchester venue Band on the Wall. The band wowed the crowds with a selection of fantastic jazz classics including Rock around the Clock and Caravan with several of our students improvising outstanding solos.

It was wonderful to share the stage with our friends from Coop Academy, Coop Academy North, Loreto High and Blackley Centre Stage Band. This event was swiftly followed by another fantastic Manchester collaboration on Saturday 15th July when Mr Cater led his Trinity Band Skills groups at One Education Music’s Showcase Rocks, also at Band on the Wall. It was a great opportunity for our bands to perform at this famous venue and both the Y12/13 band, called Redrock and the Y9/10s named Nova owned the stage with a couple of fabulous sets including one of their own compositions. We enjoyed listening to the bands and DJs from other schools too. Congratulations to all who performed at both events!”
