Band on the Wall

Director of Music, Mrs Madden, tells us more:

“Congratulations to our amazing Trinity Stage Band for an incredible performance at the One Education Network celebration event at Band on the Wall on Tuesday 24th June. 23 amazingly talented musicians represented Trinity at this iconic venue, performing a wide range of jazz styles from Quincy Jones’s Latin-inspired Soul Bossa Nova to Herbie Hanock’s funky Cantaloupe Island. Katie in Y11 wowed the crowd with her soulful rendition of Feeling Good and the audience went wild for our finale swing classic, Sing Sing Sing. Well done to the many band members who performed superb improvised solos and to all the bands from Parrs Wood, Co-op Manchester, Co-op North, Co-op Community Stage Band and Loreto College. It was a fabulous collaborative celebration of jazz in our city!”
