Basketball Final
On Friday two teams competed in the Basketball National Finals in Manchester for the second year running.
Our U16 Girls team played against Bristol Metropolitan Academy in the final. Trinity girls lead from tip to buzzer, building on a 27-8 opening quarter to build a lead that would eventually peak at 30 points in both the third and fourth quarter. Irene in Y10 secured the ’Most Valuable Player’ award, finishing the game with 36 points and helping us to win. Trinity won the game with an amazing final score of 75-48. It was the great team performance and strong defence which allowed our girls team to control the game from the very start.
The U14 girls team played against Chadwell Heath from Romford, Essex. It was an even game throughout, with neither side leading by more than five points across the first three quarters, a 7-0 run by Chadwell Heath at the start of the fourth quarter broke the game open and created the advantage needed for them to seal the win. The girls’ hard work and dedication towards their teams shone through in their games.
