Biomedical Science Weekend

From Teacher of Science and our Sixth Form Senior Tutor, Dr Alnumaani: “Last month, 50 students from Year 10 joined teachers from the science department, along with researchers and lecturers from the University of Manchester’s Faculty of Biology Medicine and Health, in Malham, Yorkshire Dales. The students spent the Friday night taking part in a careers “speed dating” session where they were able to discuss possible careers in Biomedical sciences. From the University, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, doctors and researchers discussed their career paths with the students and encouraged them to think about “life after Trinity”. On the Saturday and Sunday, students had the opportunity to carry out biological field skills that form part of the GCSE biology curriculum.”
