Black History Month
Thanks to Head of KS4, Mr Cann, and three members of our Student Council, Anael, Dara and Vanessa for announcing a new Student Council project in last week’s assembly – Black Influential Person of the Week.
Make sure you continue to look at our main school Twitter page, as we continue to highlight some ‘movers’ and shakers from Black British History, including:
- Ken Olisa OBE – first black Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London.
- Bishop John Sentamu: first black Archbishop in the Church of England.
- Baroness Patricia Scotland – first black woman to be appointed a QC.
- Simon Woolley – A political and equalities activist
