Church Visit

During the month of March as part of their unit of learning in RE entitled ‘What’s it like to be a Christian?’, all of Year 7 visited Ascension Church Hulme. This was a fantastic opportunity for students to visit a church building in the local area and to see some of the features of a church that they have been studying. Pupils listened to Fr. Azariah explain and demonstrate to them the different features of the church and what they were all used for. Students took part in a procession into the worship hall called ‘The Sanctuary’ and students were asked to spend some quiet time in reflection writing either a poem or a prayer.
