Climate Change Summit

Ms Coxon, our Eco-Committee lead, tells us about this recent event:
“Last Friday, I took 10 members of the eco-committee to 2020’s first Youth Action Climate Change Summit. The students were able to take part in workshops aimed at educating young people on what they can do to tackle climate change and help make their school carbon neutral by 2038. Students were also able to quiz politicians and professionals about what they were doing to tackle climate change. Charlie in Year 8 directed a question towards Transport for Greater Manchester, asking how they were encouraging people to leave their cars at home.  A very brave thing to do in front of over 400 students! The eco-committee look forward to attending more summits in the future.”
