Climate Change Summit

Ms Coxon, our ‘Eco-school’ project lead, tells us about a trip last week: “I was thrilled to have the opportunity to take four of our Eco-council to the Youth Action Climate Change Summit on the Friday, 12th July.  The summit had been created in response to the school strikes that have been going on in Manchester. The council have recognised that students are passionate about climate change and that there is need for more education about what we can do to stop it. Our students joined over 180 students from across Manchester and were given the opportunity to take part in a marketplace activity followed by a debate surrounding climate change. Our students were fantastic and asked the councillors some excellent questions. We look forward to carrying on with our Eco-project in the next school year!”
