COVID-19 Update

I write this note on a Thursday lunchtime. We have had an excellent start to the school year and I would like to thank my team in school, all the students and you as parents for your support. I have noted that in our region over 40 schools have had to send a year group ‘bubble’ home to self isolate so far this term, due to a positive Covid-19 test in their school.
Unfortunately, I think it may only be a matter of time before we are asked by Public Health England to do the same if we have a positive Covid-19 case here. The school is planning for such an eventuality and will keep you fully informed if/when the situation arises.
We are following all Local Authority guidance on this issue – your child’s health and safety is our prime concern.
