Creating Personal Protective Equipment
Earlier this month, we were proud to join the appeal to make Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for hospitals, doctors surgeries, hospices and care homes in our community. Mr Barnes and Ms James, from the Engineering department, have been busy making visors using our 3D printers, and following a successful prototype, a batch production began. Some of our students who attended school over the Easter break were also involved, by helping to packet up the visor kits. We are pleased to report that the visors have now been delivered to a variety of hospitals, and we were sent a photo of staff wearing our visors from Oldham Royal Hospital. Our thanks go to all those involved in this positive initiative.
