Creative Writing Competition
Congratulations to a number of Trinity students, whose work has been published in the ‘Connecting Stories’ anthology, following their participation in a creative writing competition.
The initiative was funded by Art Council England, with an aim to increase children and young people’s interest in reading and writing, and to promote diverse voices and stories. The theme for the competition was ’local heroes / everyday heroes’ and it was judged by publishers, authors and community champions.
Special congratulations go to two Trinity students who were names as winners in the age 11-14 category:
- Leila in Year 8 was the overall winner in the competition with her poem. Our readers will remember that we published Leila’s poem in a newsletter in March 2021, as she was also the winner of one of the House lockdown challenges – well done Leila!
- Well done also to Joe in Year 7, as he came 2nd in the competition!
