Drop Everything And Read!

From Teacher of English, Ms Parker: “This year, Trinity joined 100 other schools and more than 36,000 children to run a citywide Readathon. For one glorious fortnight, 17th – 28th June, we celebrated reading and the power of stories. Students in Years 7 and 8 were sponsored to read as many books as possible and we have raised an amazing £551.96. The money raised will support our LRB, the wider work of ‘Read Manchester’ and a programme that takes the magic of stories into local hospitals via its mobile bookcases and resident storytellers. Everyone really enjoyed the ‘Drop Everything and Read’ hour, as the whole school stopped what they were doing at 2.00pm on Friday, 28th June, to READ.”
