England Rugby Match

A few weeks ago, one of our students had the privilege of representing the school on the pitch at Twickenham. Katie, Year 10, travelled to London to take part in pre-match presentations and to meet two current England rugby stars, before wearing the school’s new rugby shirt – which she helped design – on the pitch as part of the national anthems and flag ceremonies. Katie has been participating in our Tuesday after school rugby activities run in collaboration with Sale Sharks, enjoying the game so much that she joined Broughton Park FC rugby club. Katie reported, ‘It was a great opportunity to represent the school at an amazing occasion. I want to thank Mrs Barrett for encouraging me in my rugby – I would recommend it to anyone as it is helping me develop teamwork skills and overcome challenges.’ England won the game 33-30 … a reason to celebrate for England – and having a Trinity student on the pitch is another great reason to celebrate as a school.
