Head’s Update

This week we’ve been paying particular attention to ‘the basics’ ensuring that students are in full school uniform and reinforcing excellent attendance and punctuality. If you are struggling with cost of living pressures, we are able to provide some ‘pre-loved’ uniform – all in excellent condition and we often swap ‘old’ for ‘new’. If cost is proving to be a barrier to good uniform, please contact Ms Laming in Student Services.

We have the second strike day on Tuesday 28th February 2023. The only full year group in school that day is Y11. Y12 & Y13 will have Teams lessons (where staff are available) and years 7-10 will mainly work from home – work will be set on Show My Homework. Any students invited in for specific reasons should also attend. I understand these arrangements make life awkward for parents and students, but I sincerely hope a deal between the teaching unions and the government will be reached soon.
