Key Stage 3 Music Recital and Awards Evening

Director of Music, Mrs Madden, tells us more:

“Congratulations to our wonderful Year 7 – 9 musicians who performed at our annual celebration of Key Stage 3 Music on 22nd May. Over 90 students, from beginners to experienced players, performed a wide range of music from solo piano, cello, woodwind, trumpet and drums to steel pan and guitar ensembles. Our fantastic Year 8 and Year 9 bands performed, acknowledging our 40th year with a famous song from 1984, Ghostbusters!

We also celebrated the commitment of 60 Year 9s who have contributed to the musical life of the school over 3 years. They all received a certificate, and those who have been involved in multiple ensembles were presented with a Trinity Music pin badge. Special praise goes to Finn and Renee, who have both been dedicated to more than 5 different musical activities for the whole of Key Stage 3! They were awarded a special songwriter’s journal. What inspiring role models for the next generation!”
