Marathon Success

Congratulations to Billy Y12 for running a half marathon to raise money for his visit to The Gambia in February.

Billy is one of our Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award students and he is going to be  volunteering in school in The Gambia working with the Lisa Kent Trust. Billy will be supporting the trust in every way—helping with daily tasks and will also be involved in tutoring students. The  Duke of Edinburgh award gives a wonderful opportunity to students like Billy to bring hope to the people of The Gambia and to have the opportunity to explore and experience the country. Billy  started his run at Edgeley Park, going towards Old Trafford and then onto his final destination, the Etihad Stadium.
