Mobile Phones in School

At the start of this week, students watched a superb video explaining our policy on mobile phones – including information that has guided the policy and what would happen if phones were seen being used through the school day. The video was produced in school and features our students and pastoral support staff explaining the history of the mobile phone, the benefits of carrying them to and from school, but also the drawbacks, including over-use and reliance of mobiles. It is a wonderful collaboration between students and staff – I very much encourage you to watch it.

What has been remarkable is the effect that it’s had on the students with almost no visibility of phones in school. It shows that a positive message with a great video advert really can influence behaviour.
