Ms Madden writes:
Congratulations to Ini in Y12 who has passed his Junior Northern College of Music audition with flying colours and will now be joining fellow Trinity students Joshua, Y8 (double bass) and Vinchy Y10 (oboe) at the highly prestigious Junior RNCM Conservatoire. Ini hopes to become a professional tuba player and will now be studying there every Saturday.
Several of our students recently took ABRSM grade exams on their instruments. Congratulations to Sally, Elizabeth, Daisy, Ryan and Stavroula, who all did brilliantly with a range of exams from Grade 2-4 on Cello, Piano and French Horn. Special Congratulations to Vinchy in Y10 who achieved her Grade 8 on oboe and to Khumbo in Y9 who received an outstanding mark of 146/150 for his Grade 2 piano!
One of our talented Year 11 GCSE Music students writes: “I recently applied for a Young Composers course run by the professional choral organisation, the ORA Singers, and was selected for their ‘Apprentices’ scheme” – it’s a course which focuses on aspects of vocal music composition, and the industry. I’m looking forward to improving my compositional skills and learning about the history and industry of vocal music.”
Well done to all our talented musicians for embracing these fantastic opportunities! We are so proud of all their achievements!
