‘No More Knives’
Earlier this half term, we welcomed representatives from Greater Manchester Police and Mo Timbo, pictured above, an anti-knife crime campaigner , to give a presentation to students entitled ‘No More Knives’. Mo, an ex-gang member, who is now a Pastor, recently went to 10 Downing Street to speak to senior policy advisors and cabinet officials about how to tackle violent crime. Mo has been touring schools to teach students about the dangers and consequences of carrying knives through creative outlets such as dance, and music, which for our presentation were provided by the Message Trust. Government officials spoke to Mo about the campaign’s success and rolling it out nationwide. The presentation was very engaging and well received by students in school.
