Peterloo Screening

One of our Year 8 students, Harry, tells us about a recent trip to a screening about the Peterloo Massacre: “On the film trip to the public library, we learnt about the Peterloo Massacre, what caused it and its consequences. One way we did this was by watching the 2018 film titled Peterloo directed by Mike Leigh. After this we did some activities including how to write a structured film review and made badges about Peterloo. They also provided us with lunch, and following this they showed us the journal of Henry Hunt (the main speaker at Peterloo before the massacre). The massacre happened in 1819 making 2019 its 200 year anniversary.”
