Reading Recovery Workshop at Barlow Hall Primary School
From our Reading Lead, Mr Cummings: “Last Wednesday, Ms Kirkham and I took a group of thirteen Year 10 students to attend a Reading Recovery workshop at Barlow Hall Primary school in Chorlton. The workshop’s aim was to enable the Year 10s to give peer support to students in lower school who struggle with their reading. Alex Vaughan, one of the course facilitators praised those students involved: “It was a pleasure to work with the Year 10s you brought. They were a credit to the school with the way they engaged. They came across as very thoughtful and well-suited to the reading project.””
