Senior Maths Challenge

On Tuesday, 3rd October, it was fantastic to see many of our A-Level mathematicians sitting the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge. This is the most senior level of the challenge  and presents students with unseen mathematical conundrums that require deep problem-solving skills, so congratulations to all of the students that participated. Numerous students were  awarded with certificates of achievement this year. A special mention must go to Alastair, Grace and Billy who gained a gold certificate and have therefore qualified for the next round of the competition called The Andrew Jobbings Senior Kangaroo. This is an incredible achievement, well done! The experience is invaluable to them as they prepare for their next steps after their  A-Levels. Moving forwards, students in Year 7 – Year 11 will have the opportunity to participate in UKMT Junior and Intermediate challenges and more information will be provided nearer to the time.
