Sporting News

Mr Bryan gives us the latest sporting news for basketball and athletics:

Our U’16 boys and girls basketball teams have been in great form in the English Schools national competitions.

Our boys won two very exciting matches in the closing minutes. They had victory against St Peter’s 60-58 and Helsby 71-66. Meanwhile our girls dominated both their matches beating Durham Johnston 66-35 and St Peter’s 62-17.

It was an amazing opportunity and great experience for our Y7’s athletes at Sports City in their first competition of the year. Obinna and Rejoice won gold medals in the long jump. In the 200m it was gold for Sahara, silver for Kiah and bronze for Kinson and Ollie. In the 60m it was silver for Amirah and bronze for Obinna. To add to their achievements, the girls also won gold in the 200m relay.

Trinity were represented by two teams in the U’15 Table Tennis team competition. A great achievement winning first and fourth place, a special mention for Lois and Olivia who both excelled on the day.

Our Y10 netball team had fun a the latest competition, winning both their games. Players of the match went to Dominique for amazing shooting and Mikayla for defensive work.
