Sporting update

Mr Bryan gives us the latest round-up of sporting updates for 2019:

• Once again our Under 14 girls’ basketball team were in great form, travelling to Rainford and winning 67-10 in great style (shown on the left).
• The Under 16 girls’ football team were in action in the last 32 of the English Schools’ Football Cup against Broughton. In a nail biting match, it finished 1-1 at full time and our girls were very unlucky to lose on penalties.
• Our Year 8 boys played their first rugby match of the year and were beaten by a very strong Wright Robinson team.
• Meanwhile, the Year 10 boys’ football team were beaten 3-1 in the Manchester Cup in a very entertaining end to end match.
