Steel Pans
35 Steel Pan students enjoyed a trip to Ascension Church to participate in their Ascension Festival just before half term. Our musicians entertained the community with their wonderful Steel Pan performances and joined in with the Festival Eucharist, followed by a delicious Caribbean street food lunch, shared with members of the church and Hulme community.
The event was part of #ComeWhatMay festival which celebrated prayer, art, poetry, music and history within our local community, in particular commemorating the 75th Anniversary of Windrush.
Thank you to Father Azariah and the whole Ascension community for the warm welcome and hospitality. Our outstanding students represented our school with joy, pride and excellence. Thank you to Ms Madden for organising the trip and accompanying the students.
