STEM!

Head of Engineering, Mr Barnes, tells us about a recent Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) event in school:

“Last week, all of our Year 7 pupils attended a STEM performance by BAE Systems Education Programme, in partnership with RAF & the Royal Navy.

The performance was about electricity. It focused on how we get and how we use electricity. We looked at generators, circuit diagrams, new and old energy supplies and much more. The performance also taught our pupils about some of the fascinating and rewarding careers that are available if they go on to study the STEM subjects and become engineers.”
