Some news about two of Trinity’s sporting superstars!

The new decade has started exceptionally well for Sixth Form student and Rochdale player, Luke Matheson. Luke played in the third round of the FA cup against Newcastle, and he set up a goal for Rochdale to equalise, earning the team a replay. If this wasn’t enough, Luke also scored in a league game against Bolton Wanderers! In a recent interview with the BBC (https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51089767), Luke talks about the importance of education during his football career – what a great role model!

Our congratulations also go to Year 11 student, Saran, whose squash team played in the inter-counties championship in Nottingham, representing Lancashire. As team captain, Saran (shown on the far left) and her team won the Girls’ Under-19, beating Buckinghamshire in the final. Well done Saran on this fantastic achievement!
