Tutor Trust Initiative

From Deputy Head, Dr Chard: “Last week saw the relaunch of our Tutor Trust mathematics sessions for some Year 11 students. Usually the tutors come into school every Wednesday afternoon, but to ensure they don’t miss out, we’ve transferred the tutoring online. Tutors emailed a link to the students and they were able to take part in their usual group session for an hour of online maths. Tutors had conversations with the students about how they felt with the exams being cancelled and discussed how their maths work will still be crucial for them to achieve their potential grades and will be really valuable as they progress onto their next steps. Maths topics covered last week included percentages and problem solving. A positive comment from one of our parents about the initiative can be seen above.”
