Y9 Parents’ Evening

We had an excellent turnout of parents and carers (89%) at the first ‘in person’ subject parents evening for the current Y9 students. Many parents commented to me that coming into school was much better than telephone calls, and there was a real buzz in our two venues – Temple Gym and the Main Sports Hall. In addition to subject conversations, the Y9 pastoral team were working with parents, Mr Johnson supported the options process and we had both our careers advisor and the school nurse in attendance. The new system of allocating appointments worked well, and we were delighted that some parents who hadn’t made appointments were still able to see their child’s teachers.
