Year 13 Mock Medical Interviews

Dr Alnuamaani writes – It is the time of year when our Sixth form students are working towards the final stage of our Aspiring medics program. Year 13 students took part in a Mock Interview with members of the school and Sixth Form leadership team. Students answered questions on their commitment to and motivation for studying Medicine and Dentistry with Mr Nicholls. There was an excellent role play station with Ms Tattum, our Director of Sixth Form and an unexpected “communication skills” station with Ms Cotterell, our Head of Year 13 – who knew that tying shoelaces was so complicated! The School Business Manager quizzed them on the challenges to the NHS over the next 10 years and Ms Pearce, a Surgeon at Salford Royal and Trinity Parent supported students through some complex ethical dilemmas. Thank you to all staff and students that took part, we wish them luck in their real interviews in the New Year.
