Year 9 Options Presentation

On Thursday 19th January, all year 9 students were assembled in the Interactive Lecture Theatre for a talk about course choices for Key Stage 4. The students were encouraged to start some thinking about their career ambitions, what college courses they would perhaps like to study, and what university course they may apply for. The presentation was supported by a video that had been recorded by some current Y10’s who gave the Y9’s the benefit of their experience. The video was really informative, and the message came through that students should take their time to think about the process and not rush into decisions.

Mr Johnson has created an Options area on the school website where more information can be accessed. There are short introductory videos for all subject areas which are definitely worth looking at. Each of our subject leaders has explained their course, the assessment system and what careers the course could lead to. In addition to this, there is a three minute presentation to parents that includes all the detail on completing the form.

The options form should be completed online by the deadline of 9am on Friday 3rd February 2023.

Students must be logged in to their school account to complete the form.
