Young Writers

A number of our Year 7 students are now halfway through an 8-week Young Writer programme led by acclaimed author, Danielle Jawando. The after-school workshops see students collaborating,  responding to fun prompts and sampling a range of written pieces. They’re encouraged to play creatively with words and develop their own individual voices as they go. From the very first session,  this group has been keen to share their work, and their creations have been consistently brilliant.

The programme is facilitated by writing charity First Story, whose Young Writers Festival these students will have the opportunity to attend later this month at the University of Cambridge. We’re very excited to be working with both First Story and the brilliant Danielle Jawando. Thank you  to Mr Richardson for making this possible.
