Investment in Music
From Director of Music, Mrs Madden:
“We are delighted to share the exciting news that the Music Department has recently purchased two Yamaha pianos for the benefit of our students. This purchase was made possible thanks to the incredible generosity of Trinity parents, alongside a grant from the Universal Music UK Sound Foundation, and we are extremely grateful for this wonderful gift to the school.
Our pianists now have two fantastic new instruments on which to practise, complementing our existing three upright pianos and the Kawai grand piano in the drama studio, all of which have recently been repaired and tuned.
We were also delighted to welcome Mr Maynard, an expert steel pan tuner from Trinidad, who spent a day working on our full steel pan set to ensure the instruments are perfectly tuned and ready for our many performances throughout 2026-27. With more than 160 students currently playing steel pans, we know these finely tuned instruments will be enjoyed by many and will help support another exciting year of music-making at Trinity.”
