Welcoming Brother Jean Patrick: A Visit from Taizé
We were delighted to welcome Brother Jean Patrick from the Taizé Community in France to our school recently. He is currently visiting schools, universities and dioceses across the UK as part of a partnership project aimed at sharing the community’s commitment to reconciliation, peace and communal life.
Students and staff who have previously visited, or hope to visit, the Taizé Community had the opportunity to meet with Brother Jean Patrick.
They spoke about how their experiences at Taizé continue to shape their lives here in Manchester, and how Taizé music and prayer remain an integral part of the student prayer life at Trinity.
Our Chaplain, Revd Dr Birkinshaw, has expressed the school’s hope to continue offering pilgrimages to Taizé in the future. Those who have taken part describe the pilgrimage as a formative experience – one that deepens spirituality, fosters lasting friendships, and nurtures a hopeful and inclusive outlook on the world.
