Anti-Racist School Award

Following a two year programme, we are delighted to share that we have achieved a Bronze Award for the Anti-Racist School Award through the Centre for Race, Education and Decoloniality at Leeds Beckett University.

Our thanks go to Ms Ripley who has worked extensively with the entire school community since joining the programme in November 2022. Her focus has been on embedding a strong culture of anti-racism. Collaborating closely with governors, senior leaders, students, and their families, Ms Ripley has ensured the necessary time, resources, and training are in place to pursue the Award, emphasising a commitment to sustainable change across the school.

The timing of receiving this award ties very well into our Black History Month initiatives currently taking place in school – there will be more details about this next week.
