Christmas Music and Drama Showcase

From Director of Music, Mrs Madden:

“What a fantastic evening of entertainment we had on Wednesday 10th December at our Christmas Music and Drama Showcase Concerts! 150 pupils shared their talents across two sold-out concerts, both of which had such welcoming and encouraging audiences: the children really put us in the festive spirit!

The Year 7 Drama Club prepared a series of hilarious sketches based on Christmas themes such as ‘An Investigation into Bethlehem’ and ‘The Star Auditions’ and we were amazed by their confidence and acting talents as they made their Trinity debut! Years 7-9 Steel Pans ensembles performed a fabulous variety of tunes, Junior Woodwind and Junior Guitars were fantastic as always, and the standard of the Years 8, 9, 10 and 11 Band Skills had us all rocking in our seats and wishing it could be Christmas every day! Trinity Stage Band provided some outstanding jazz and the whole crowd enjoyed a great singalong to ‘Merry Christmas Everybody’ and ‘Frosty the Snowman’.

We are so proud of the students for working so hard and special congratulations to all for whom it was their first Trinity performance. Huge thanks go to all the music and drama staff, the dedicated Sixth Form prefects for their help and most of all, to the students themselves for sharing their talents so willingly and for showing such kindness, support and encouragement to each other.”
