Closing the Year

What a privilege to be able to bring you such celebratory news today, the final day of the 2024/25 academic year. There have been so many events to celebrate this year and the enthusiastic participation of our students has been something to be proud of. None of this could happen without the support of parents and governors and the hard work of our staff, and I wish to thank you all for your valuable contributions.

This year has seen a focus on homework completion, resulting in some big improvements; next year there will be an emphasis on punctuality to lessons. I’m looking forward to the wonderful progress our students make every day continuing in the new year, as demonstrated by the Year 9 Graduation and Year 10 celebration Assembly this week.

There are two INSET days on Monday 1st September and Tuesday 2nd September and the school will reopen on Wednesday 3rd September at 8:30am for all students.

I wish all of our students, staff, families and friends of the school an enjoyable and restful holiday and I look forward to welcoming you back for the new academic year.
