COP29 Climate Conference

Head of House, Ms Galbraith, tells us more:

“Year 9 and 10 form reps from the School Council attended the COP29 Climate Conference hosted by MP Afzal Khan. The students heard from Friends of the Earth and Global Justice Now about how serious the climate crisis is and the impact it is having in Manchester and globally. They then presented their solutions for supporting climate disaster hit countries to the conference. These solutions were well received and MP Afzal Khan agreed to take them seriously.”
