Diocesan Education Conference

Our wonderful 50-strong Gospel Choir was invited to perform for the Diocesan Education Conference Eucharist at the beautiful Gorton Monastery. Deborah Smith, the Manchester Diocese  Director of Education wrote after hearing the choir’s moving performance “They were magnificent and a credit to the school”. Thank you to our talented and hard-working pupils for their  commitment, and to Ms Carla Jane for her inspiring leadership of the choir.

As part of the conference, Ms Ripley our Diversity, Equality and Inclusion lead gave a keynote address on her work at the school. Her words of wisdom were appreciated and applauded by all the  delegates. Ms Ripley’s work provides a model for others to follow. Thank you to Mrs Madden, Dr Birkinshaw and of course Ms Ripley for their support of this event.
