Forest School

From Higher Level Teaching Assistant, Ms Rowe: “In the penultimate session of this year’s Forest School, our students had a surprise visit from the Head – who really immersed himself in the Forest School spirit!

After a very warm welcome from the delighted students, without hesitation Mr Nicholls allowed them to roll him through the woods in a giant plastic tube, admired the unique woodwork sculptures and whittled gnomes that they had created that morning, and ate freshly made chocolate flatbreads by the campfire with everyone singing a rousing rendition of our school song ‘Jubilate’. He also asked them what they enjoyed about the sessions, and heard how much they help the students build resilience, develop confidence, make lasting friendships and increase social interaction, as well as many other social, physical and creative skills each week.”
