Halle Orchestra Trip

35 of our Y9 to Y12’s enjoyed a fantastic concert at The Bridgewater Hall on Monday. We were treated to an amazing array of famous orchestral works in a concert entitled “The Orchestra through the Ages”. We were taken on a musical journey from Renaissance and Baroque right up to the present day, covering composers such as Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Berlioz, Brahms and Boulanger. Several of our GCSE Set Works featured included music from the musical Wicked and the movie Star Wars. The presentation was entertaining and informative and the Halle Orchestra were truly inspiring.
